unforgettable utterances

Who said this? - "A man can live happily with any woman, as long as he does not love her".
Was it-

a)Arthur Schopenhauer?
b)John Lennon?

I think it was Oscar Wilde. He also wrote things like: "I prefer women with a past. They're always so damned amusing to talk to." Schopenhauer hated us too much. And I don´t think Lennon could find- between joints and with Yoko in his bed-time for such deap thoughts.
